Left unfinished at the time of his death in 1791, Mozart’s Requiem is one of his most iconic, beautiful works of choral music. The piece was completed by fellow composer, Franz Xaver Süssmayr, a year later in 1792.

Bach’s Christmas Oratorio

The Weihnachtsoratorium was composed in 1734 and originally performed over six days through the Christmas period. It tells the story of the birth of Christ through vivid, joyful and dramatic music. Recognised as one of Bach’s choral masterpieces, it is a classical seasonal favourite. BachWerk will perform cantatas 1, 2, 3 and 6.
